The best time for this boat trip is in the morning right after breakfast from 8 to 10 o’clock or from 6 to 9 o’clock.

Special photo tours are offered in the hotel according to the wishes and needs of the photographer. Here you will be guided to the perfect picture. No matter if beginner or professional.
The nature photography experience already begins in the hotel. This is located on a protected and reforested area of about 5 hectares.

Costa Rica tips 3: Fishing
The season starts on 1 August and lasts until 30 March.
There are only 3 places in the world where you can fish tarpon in fresh water – the Caño Negro Refuge is one of them. You can show off your skills on the bony fish weighing an average of 40 kg/ 80 pounds. The prehistoric fish Alligatorgar can also be caught here.
The fishing tour can start in the morning at 6 o’clock or can be planned especially for families.

Tip 4: Kayak/Canoe
Kayak/canoe paddling is the best way to get in touch with nature.
The trip starts right after breakfast, from the hotel grounds. During the rainy season you can discover places that are not accessible by boat. During the dry season, you can paddle particularly well on the Rio Frio.

Tip 6: Botanical Garden
The Hotel de Campo, is one of the few hotels in Costa Rica, which was built in a botanical garden.
On about 5 hectares, more than 200 different plant species were cultivated. These include native exotic plants, fruit trees, medicinal, wood and ornamental plants. These in turn attract animals like butterflies, hummingbirds, frogs, birds and monkeys.
This botanical garden is now home to dozens of animal species and invites you to explore and linger.
