Lesser Anteater

Caño Negro Refuge is not only about birds. It is also about Anteater (or antbear) monkeys, butterflies, frogs, orchids. If you can't find a subject on this list, please ask. During June and July, we could spot on a few occasions a gorgeous lesser anteater. Those dates are not a limit to spot an antbear all year around. Birding Trogon in Costa Rica - The Trogons of Caño Negro. Birding in Costa Rica, at the Refuge of Caño Negro, is also about trogons. Actually, you can spot and pictures the Black-headed and the Slaty tails trogon in the botanical garden of Hotel de Campo.
