Caño Negro – A paradies

The nature reserve in the north is a paradise for colorful birds, mammals, butterflies and reptiles like iguanas, caiman, basilisk. Birds of all kinds can be observed with binoculars or at close range.

In the middle of the beautiful Caño Negro is the hotel “Hotel de Campo“. It is the only hotel located in front of the lagoon of the National Wildlife Refuge of Caño Negro, you can explore the breathtaking nature of Costa Rica. The hotel is located into a botanical garden, child-friendly pool, restaurant and bar. Each room also has air conditioning and a fan. The quiet location is especially interesting for families, as no loud parties are celebrated there like at many beaches.

Hotel de Campo is great for families with children.

In order to see as much nature as possible, the hotel sells service packages. For families with children, the Eco Nature Package  is especially recommended. Here you can choose between 1 to 3 nights. Depending on the bundle, eco-boat tours are included in groups or alone. In addition, depending on the package you can choose between a night tour through the forest and/or lagoon. For the particularly brave there is also the possibility to paddle through the river in a kayak/canoe and thus get very close to nature. All of this is of course guided by a guide.
